ENBREL is available in 3 preparations: Auto-injector, Pre-filled syringes or Vials for dilution.
Please take note of how to store the ENBREL you have been prescribed.

Storage for Auto-injector and Pre-filled syringes

  • Whenever possible, ENBREL should be refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C.
  • Do not freeze ENBREL.
  • Refrigerated ENBREL remains stable until the expiration date printed on the Pre-filled syringe or Auto-injector.
  • Keep out of reach of children.


Room temperature storage

  • When needed, for example when you are travelling, ENBREL can be stored at room temperature (maximum 25°C) for a maximum period of 4 weeks.
  • Once ENBREL is stored at room temperature, ENBREL must be used within 4 weeks.
  • If you do transfer ENBREL to room temperature storage, it is suggested that you take note of the date it was taken out of refrigeration, as well as the date it should be used by.
  • You should protect ENBREL from light, sources of heat, and humidity until you are ready to use it.


Storage for Vials for dilution

  • Refrigerate at 2°C to 8°C.
  • Do not freeze.
  • The ENBREL solution should be used immediately (i.e. within 6 hours) after reconstitution.
  • Prior to reconstitution, the powder may be stored at temperatures up to a maximum of 25°C for a single period of up to 4 weeks.
  • ENBREL should be discarded if not used within 4 weeks of initial removal from refrigeration.
