  • Offering community-based seminars and education talks covering a range of topics provided by guest speakers such as, rheumatologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, pharmacists and occupational therapists.

  • ‘Living a Healthy Life’ self management courses which enable attendees to become effective self managers of their chronic condition, and gain a better quality of life.

  • Access to water-based and land-based exercises in many areas.

  • Able to provide information that might help with your employment or access to other support services.

  • Link you with other people who are experiencing the same challenges.

  • They produce and distribute over 100,000 pamphlets each year on the main forms of arthritis with information on management and treatment. Their website also offers useful information and products helpful in managing arthritis.

  • There is a wide network of support groups out there for those with arthritis. They can put you in touch with them.

  • They are constantly advocating for better patient care for the 530,000 New Zealanders with arthritis to local and national decision makers.

  • Funding research projects which focus on the cause and treatment of arthritis.
